Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste. H2C seeks a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for all conventional aspects managing small, medium and large Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), capital improvement, or facility/infrastructure upgrade construction projects from initiation through closeout in accordance with quality standards and requirements. The Project Managers responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: - Manage Single-Shell Tanks (SST) retrieval and/or technology development projects and unique/novel projects requiring project baseline development and maintenance (cost, schedule, technical), project implementation, change management, establishing and managing project teams, procurement, subcontract management and project turnover. Manage direct reports and matrix staff as required. - Under administrative direction, apply an extensive knowledge of Project Management principles and practices in assignments and related work. - Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods. May represent the department in conferences to resolve important questions and coordinate work. - Demonstrate interpolative thinking, utilize advanced techniques, modifications or extensions to practiced theories. - Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. - May function as lead Project Manager on a task force or special assignment, coordinating the activities of the task force engineers from the discipline specialty. - Contribute to development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate with peers and management. - Must take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities. - Comply with H2C policies and procedures. - Ensure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities; and - Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Grade 20: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; and - Ten (10) years of related experience in project execution, engineering, construction, project controls, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Compensation

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
