Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is seeking two Senior Work Control Planners, who will be responsible for preparing, tracking, and controlling work packages in accordance with Work Control procedures and processes. This position will be responsible for ensuring Construction, Corrective Maintenance, Modification, and Troubleshooting work packages are developed efficiently, effectively, and compliantly to meet schedule for the various tank farms and supporting infrastructure. * Facilitate planning meetings, job hazard analysis meetings and provide planning status for project schedules * Provide analysis of planning areas of concern and provides recommendations to management for resolution * Act as a technical representative to management in area of specialization * Prepare, track, and control work orders, required to accomplish assigned activities * When directed by management, provides Work Order Review and Approval (WORA) system approval of other members of the planning staff * Provide oversight to less senior members of the planning team for preparation of work orders and work activity schedules * Under minimal supervision, the individual in this position will analyze planning processes for efficiency and make technical recommendations to management * With minimal input from fieldwork supervisor, estimates, and establishes man-hours, material, and manpower, needed for job completion * Develop Material Requests and completes Plant Force Work Review as required * Complete Planner Post reviews * Must be a team player with a positive outlook in a customer service-oriented organization; and * Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Grade 18: -BA/BS and 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Grade 19: -BA/BS and 9 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. -Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Grade 20: -BA/BS and 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. -Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Compensation

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
