Duties

This manager position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Refrigerated Equipment Services (RES) organization. Responsibilities include: management and oversight of all staff to ensure compliance with procedures, processes, or work packages to safely and compliantly accomplish goals. Selected candidate will direct and mentor subordinate Supervisors and Field Work Supervisors. This position has the responsibility for completion of complex and hazardous tasks, and the ability to manage significant risk related to roof top unit (RTU) work, lock and tag evolutions, and Hoisting and Rigging of equipment in hazardous conditions. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: - Ensuring that work is being performed safely and efficiently. - Planning and scheduling resources as necessary to meet work priorities. - Overseeing facility preventative and corrective maintenance and replacement of HVAC/R equipment for HMIS and Other Hanford Contractors (OHC). - Interacting with operations, engineering, environmental, and safety organizations within HMIS and OHC at all levels. - Ensuring fully qualified and trained personnel are assigned to perform job tasks. - Managing personnel and resources within budget constraints. - Achieving company-level performance goals for assigned work scope. - Managing Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations contained in 40CFR part 82. - Proactively and effectively managing personnel actions for assigned staff. - Responsible for maintaining a 24/7 availability of personnel to respond to critical infrastructure needs of the Hanford Site.

Qualifications

- BA/BS plus experience managing maintenance or facilities operations/planning or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. - Progressive experience managing maintenance/projects, supervising (i.e., fieldwork supervisor, superintendent, or foreman) construction or maintenance activities, and facilities operations/planning. - Prior experience in a leadership role. - Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate operations of the department. - Experience in formulating policies, management of daily operations, and planning the use of materials and personnel assignments. - Must possess the ability to motivate, develop and direct people as they work, identifying the best resources allocation for a singular organizational function or department within the organization. - Experience monitoring/assessing performance of self and other individuals within a function or department and must possess the ability to make improvements or take corrective action. - Capable of considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions affecting a department or function, and able to choose the most appropriate one. - Functional level knowledge of job functions, experience in leading work projects, and the ability to resolve process related items in a timely and efficient manner.

Compensation
