Duties
The Patrol Operations Center (POC)/Central Alarm Station (CAS) Lieutenant is responsible for ensuring that responses to incidents/alarms are initiated/completed in a timely manner and that access to alarmed facilities is authorized. This position also operates the POC/CAS and associated equipment and monitor alarms to critical and/or sensitive facilities. The successful candidate will also review daily activity logs for accuracy and completeness, provides direction to designated Security Police Officer personnel as appropriate and will operate the alarm detection and display system, including trouble shooting of problems and initiation of work request for security system problems.
Qualifications
*BA/BS degree and 5 years of experience -OR- an equivalent combination of education and related experience. *At a minimum, currently or have had Hanford Security Police Officer I, II or III certification within the last 12 months. *Must be able to certify in the Hanford Patrol CAS and maintain certification annually. *Must be able to certify in Telecommunicator I and II. *Must be able to certify in Emergency Medical Dispatch. *Must be able to certify in ACCESS Terminal. *Ability to communicate with a variety of customers, subordinates, peers and supervisory/management personnel. *Maintain a calm and rational posture to help emergency responders and customers under stress. *Currently possess or able to obtain Q clearance (contingent for position). *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
Compensation

To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation. This investigation encompasses multiple areas of eligibility and includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.
