Our Soil and Groundwater team is seeking a Field Work Supervisor to directly supervise Field Sampling Operations field personnel and support staff for sampling/characterization of 700+ groundwater wells including 3400+ well sampling trips/year, 350+ aquifer-tube sampling trips/year, various multi-media and Pump & Treat process sampling events, and modu-tank operations. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation into the field of new sample collection techniques and analysis as well as in the development of new procedures and training plans. Responsibilities of the Field Work Supervisor involves the following: * Directs field sampling operations personnel to ensure safe execution of work in a quality manner, within schedule and budget including all field related day to day activities. * Has an understanding of all aspects of field sampling operations activities to ensure work is being performed in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures. * Maintains liaison with project scientists, engineers, sample data management, on-site/off-site labs, project management, safety, quality assurance, procurement, environmental, and maintenance representatives to ensure efficient and safe operations of sampling organization. * Works within the planned work schedule and allocated budget as directed by project management. * Supervises assigned skilled/craft resources to accomplish program objectives and ensure quality services and products are rendered. Provides leadership and motivation directing the day to day activities in a professional, safe and efficient manner. * Advises management of developments that could affect project profit, schedule, costs, client relations, and interdepartmental or interdivisional relations. * Proactively provides means and methods by which the operations and activities may be improved and recommends revisions to the operating plan and detailed functioning of the task force when appropriate. * Identifies and evaluates items that constitute an increase or decrease in schedule or costs and reviewing and initiating appropriate actions as necessary. * Understands and complies with the expectations of their assigned specific job responsibilities as directed by management. * Demonstrates the ability to comprehend and resolve day-to-day problems including identifying opportunities for improvement. * Demonstrates diplomacy and persuasiveness in working with others (subordinates, peers, higher management levels) to obtain desired results. Contacts are typically with management, non-management, support organizations, DOE and other outside agencies. * Maintain operational proficiency. Keep current on facility and technical changes. Provide operational information and guidance to subordinate personnel. * Perform audits, surveillances and safety walk downs of assigned facilities/field activities to further improve conduct of operations and overall worker safety. * Coordinate the performance and completion of maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance activities for sampling operations equipment and vehicles. * Maintains knowledge of safety policies and field sampling operations procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and has responsibility for the safety of those being supervised and ensures they comply with established safety policies and field sampling operations procedures and practice safe work habits. * Ensures training/certification requirements are being met/maintained in accordance with established training requirements.

Qualifications

* Supervisor Grade 18 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include journey-level craft), plus 4 years relevant experience. * Supervisor Grade 19 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include journey-level craft), plus 6 years relevant experience. The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Compensation

In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates. Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week): * Grade 18: $94,750 - $151,800 * Grade 19: $104,200 - $166,650 In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
