Duties
The Training Specialist works closely with the HMIS Training Manager, organizational client stakeholders, and training department staff to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of focused training programs and processes. The role is responsible for instructional system design, development, and implementation. The incumbent will evaluate current organizational training systems and materials to identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities for improvement. The position also maintains responsibility for the development, revision, and ongoing maintenance of training procedures. Performs other related duties as required in support of training activities. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to the following: * Administer and maintain the Hanford site-wide Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate training records, data integrity, and responsive user support. * Act as the main liaison between Hanford prime contracts, the LMS vendor, and the system maintenance contractor, facilitating communication and efficient issue resolution. * Coordinate LMS upgrades, system maintenance, and troubleshooting activities with vendors and contractors to minimize disruptions to site training operations. * Support continuous improvement efforts for the LMS, identifying and implementing enhancements to improve system functionality and user experience. * Ensure alignment of training administration practices across Hanford contracts to promote consistency and regulatory compliance. * Respond to user requests, resolve technical and access issues, and provide expert guidance on LMS use. * Maintain awareness of evolving site training requirements and work proactively to address system or process needs.
Qualifications
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. * Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience, or a combination of education and experience. * Experience in administering enterprise Learning Management Systems in a regulated or DOE environment. * Strong communication and coordination skills, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders and vendors. * Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Knowledge of current and emerging instructional technologies and design demonstrated competency to communicate technical topics and terms effectively to the end-user. * Works well in a team environment and has excellent collaboration skills. * Ability to use project management skills and complete projects by deadline. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate organizational milestones. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management.
Compensation
