Our Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene Team is seeking a dynamic Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene Manager who has the ability to effectively manage and provide strong leadership to the D4 End States Central Plateau Project. Our mission is to ultimately protect the safety and health of our workforce by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementation of the tenets of the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). A day in the life of the Occupations Safety & Industrial Hygiene (OS&IH) Manager, D4 End States Central Plateau, includes, but is not limited to: * Regulatory Compliance: Manage programs that satisfy DOE worker safety and health requirements, which often exceed general OSHA standards. * Hazard Identification: Perform Hazard Analyses , facility inspections, and industrial hygiene assessments to mitigate risks. * Subcontractor Oversight: Review and approve subcontractor safety plans and Accident Prevention Plans to ensure alignment with prime contractor protocols. * Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analyses for work-related incidents, injuries, or illnesses, and implement corrective actions. * Training & Orientation: Oversee site-specific safety orientations, specialized training requirements, and verify worker qualifications. Emergency Preparedness: Provide support to ensure site evacuation plans, fire protection, and emergency response procedures are effective and in place. * Reporting: Maintain rigorous documentation tracking occupational data, incident reports, and exposure monitoring results. * Hanford Site Wide Safety Programs: Support and implementation of the site programs. * Ensures occupational safety and industrial hygiene technical support is provided to the project. * Work hand-in-hand with Project Management and Safety, Health, Environmental, Radcon, Security & Quality Management to assist and support their efforts in assuring safe operations, workplaces, and behaviors. * Directly support efforts to maintain Integrated Safety Management System program implementation and VPP Star recognition. * Performs work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner. * Seek to create efficiencies while maintaining compliance.
Qualifications
Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 10 years of relevant experience Manager Grade 22 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 12 years of relevant experience The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Compensation
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates. Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week): Grade 21: $126,200 - $202,000 Grade 22: $137,150 - $240,000 In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
