Duties
This Co-Op Intern (year-round internship) works in the Internal Audit Department and will assist with the Subcontractor Incurred Cost Audits. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: * Running Access DataMart queries. * Analysis of data. * Preparing electronic allowable cost claims (EACC's) for subcontractor costs. * Resolving issues with management and staff in a timely manner. * Assisting with completing applicable audit procedure(s) and working documents with oversight of a team member.
Qualifications
* Intern should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field. *Must have one college term completed and be currently enrolled as a full-time student, have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or above (list on your resume), the availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, and live within a commutable distance to the work site. This is a year-round internship. *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
Compensation
Hourly Rates: Freshman: $18.26 Sophomore: $24.38 Junior: $24.38 Senior: $28.768 In accordance with the HMIS wage determination process, offers will be made by taking into consideration the degree program the candidate is currently enrolled in - or - scope of work the position will perform, grade level in school (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior) as well as the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. The starting rates, and ranges listed (if applicable) represent the full wage scale that may be offered for this position. In accordance with the Service Contract Act, this position is eligible for the health & welfare wage adder of up to $4.93 per hour. In compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) direction, employees issued initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, are required to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation. This investigation encompasses multiple areas of eligibility and includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.
