Duties
This position will assist the Subcontract Audit Manager, as a Team Lead as it relates to the Subcontract Audit Program. The role focuses on leading audit teams, which includes, but not limited to, leading meetings, assigning audits, mentoring and training auditors, assisting with audit work paper review and approvals, and ensuring the effective execution of audit processes in compliance with established audit standards. As part of this role, the individual may also serve as a working lead, stepping in to perform audits themselves when additional support is needed to meet deadlines. Essential job functions and duties associated with this Team Lead position include: *Represents the Subcontract Audit Manager and reports the Subcontract Audit Program as needed to higher management levels. *Helps coordinate, direct work, and monitor progress of the Subcontractor Audit Program, including review and approval of working papers and audit closure documentation. *Able to act as delegate to approve weekly time and attendance records. *Mentors and trains less experienced teammates, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. *Make decisions in the absence of a consensus, ensuring effective resolution of issues. *Assists staff in addressing and resolving a wide variety of concerns and/or complaints, serving as an interface with management. *Lead activities within the Subcontract Audit Program, encouraging staff to perform and complete assigned tasks. *Ensures that all staff working under the Subcontract Audit Program's direction maintains a safe and healthy work environment and follows established safety procedures and practices. *Maintains a high level of communication and responsibility to internal and external clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. *Functions as customer interface and liaison in absence of the Manager, including interfacing with the Department of Energy (DOE) and/or serving as the point of contact on contract deliverables to DOE. *Assumes responsibilities within the Subcontract Audit Program as delegated, which may include performing audits as a working lead, and participates as requested in the recruitment selection process for new staff hires. *Utilizing analytical and decision-making skills to support audit functions. *Lead process improvements and technology enabled enhancements to increase audit efficiency and effectiveness. *Integrate data analytics, AI enabled tools, and automated testing for sampling, trend analysis, and audit execution. *Engage in professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements. *Support other areas within Internal Audit as requested.
Qualifications
*BA/BS degree, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in Audit, Finance or Business-related field. *Must obtain a professional certification within two years of employment, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or other applicable professional certifications. *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
Compensation
