Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste. The qualified candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate analysis of invoicing data for submission to DOE on a biweekly and monthly basis, in accordance with company policies and contract terms and conditions. In addition, this position will be responsible for monthly account reconciliations, reviewing and analyzing data, and then accumulate, assemble, and provide supporting documentation with the invoices to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions. The successful candidate must maintain a high level of communication and responsibility to internal and external clients, while ensuring invoice records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures, and while reconciling with the business management system. Provide all accounting support listed above to other team members, applicable H2C management, and OHC, as well as the following essential job duties: *Perform reviews of the invoicing data *Perform monthly account reconciliations. *Perform data queries and information gathering to support accounting related audits. *Conduct reviews of invoice procedures to ensure compliance with DOE guidelines. *Implement solutions to resolve customer questions/concerns in a timely manner. *Monitor the receipt of invoice payments *Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines. *Prepare accounts receivable and provide support to the cash management department. *Ensure accurate and timely daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. *Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of invoicing policies and procedures and other duties as needed and as deemed appropriate by management. *Interface with various business functions and outside vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain the necessary supporting documentation. *Monitor outstanding invoice payments and ensure prompt collection. *Support internal and external audits. *Comply with H2C and departmental policies and procedures. *Ensure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities; and *Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Grade 13: Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Grade 14: Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; and One (1) year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Compensation
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
