H2C seeks a Property & Materials Management Specialist to assist in the oversight of Material Assets organization activities/operations by creating and maintaining a quality and safe climate that encourages the commitment of all personnel to meet or exceed customer needs. This position will assist with the coordination and execution of the Material Assets organization's activities/operations to include but is not limited to the Material Services organization and the Spare Parts Program. This individual will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all things related to H2C supply chain operations, foster a strong safety culture, maintain operational discipline, and assist in ensuring effective execution of material management and spare parts activities that directly support continuity of operations and the Hanford Site cleanup mission. The specific duties of the Property & Materials Management Specialist will include but are not limited to the following: *Provide support to Management by advising on material control programs and processes; *Mentor Co-workers and Management on Material Assets programs, procedures, and processes; *Act as the Material Assets purchasing system software Subject Matter Expert (SME); Maintain this level of proficiency in understanding and operating the system to support customers and Management; act as an administrator of the system when and where necessary; *Assist in providing management and oversight of H2C material control to include but not limited to Government Furnished Equipment/Property to subcontractors, material used on work packages, material kept in Conex containers, material at staging areas, and material warehoused by Other Hanford Contractors (OHCs); *Resolve to closure Action Requests (ARs) and Condition Reports (CRs) associated with Material Assets and support all phases of Corrective Action management (perform causal analysis, develop corrective action plans, monitor and track actions) as deemed necessary and/or as directed by Management; *Develop reports and summaries; conduct document reviews; and prepare correspondence, lessons learned, reports, and presentations as directed by Management; *Identify, investigate, analyze, and determine the solutions to problems and/or adverse trends in Material Assets; *Support development, applicability, and revision of procedures within Material Assets responsibilities to ensure timely, efficient, and correct oversight and delivery of materials; Recommend procedure/policy changes for continuous improvement and develop implementation plans as necessary; *Serve as the company single point of contact to provide oversight for Material Control and chain of custody; *Prepare and issue status and control reports as required; *Assist in developing and conducting material control training as required; *Assist with inventories and assessments of Material Assets material as needed and support coordination of all H2C materials storage functions; *Perform daily and weekly interface with Material Services, Spare Parts Program, Procurement, program coordinators, Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Construction, vendors, subcontractors, etc. regarding material issues relating to obtaining, receiving, staging, storing, and issuing; occasional interface with external oversight agencies; *Perform and support other Management directed activities and duties as assigned; *Comply with H2C policies and procedures; and *Ensure Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) Principles are incorporated into organizational activities. *Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Grade 17 Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business/Business Administration or related discipline; and Five (5) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Grade 18 Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business/Business Administration or related discipline; and Seven (7) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Compensation
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
