Duties
This position is responsible for the overall technical and administrative aspects of the In Vivo program. The role ensures work is performed in accordance with applicable program documentation to meet client contractual requirements, maintenance of accreditation through the DOE Laboratory Accreditation Program (DOELAP), provide technical direction for the program, and ensure adequate resources are available to support routine operations. Specific Duties Include: * Ensuring the preparation and maintenance of program documentation, including procedures, program manual, records inventory, disposition schedule, and the quality assurance plan. * Developing and implementing technical studies to support the routine monitoring program or advance the state of the art. * Ensuring program capabilities are adequate to meet or exceed DOELAP performance testing and onsite assessment criteria. * Determining training requirements, ensuring In Vivo staff are properly trained, and providing staff with the resources needed to perform their work. * Assisting in budget preparation, contract development, monitoring spending, and tracking task progress. * Ensuring hazards associated with the program are identified and adequately controlled. * Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working condition, sufficient spares, future capital equipment needs are planned for, and requests are submitted sufficiently in advance. * Submitting status reports to DOE-RL and Hanford customers upon request. * Providing input to the annual report for the Hanford dosimetry and records programs. * Interacting with clients to resolve problems and handle special requests. * Representing the program on the Hanford Personnel Dosimetry Advisory Committee.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Health Physics or a STEM field, plus 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Strong oral and written communication skills * Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential badge
Compensation
