Duties

HMIS Information Management delivers innovative IT solutions that support the cleanup mission at the Hanford Site. As an IT Product Manager, you will shape the direction of HMIS's product portfolio, guide strategic technology decisions, and help ensure successful execution of the One Hanford mission. This role is a core contributor to mission-critical IT/IS initiatives, connecting user needs, technical teams, and organizational strategy. Position Overview The IT Product Manager is responsible for leading the full product lifecycle from concept through deployment and continuous improvement. This includes developing strategic roadmaps, building business cases, evaluating technologies, guiding planning efforts, and ensuring that solutions are effectively adopted and maintained. The role requires strong collaboration across IT, cybersecurity, project management, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Develop strategic product roadmaps aligned with mission needs, IT strategy, and portfolio priorities. * Create business cases, preliminary budgets, schedules, and benefit analyses to inform decision-making. * Lead stakeholder engagement to assess requirements, gather user feedback, understand current processes, and identify potential solutions. * Evaluate alternative technologies, conduct studies, and provide recommendations based on user needs, feasibility, and compliance requirements. * Partner with IT subject matter experts, cybersecurity teams, enterprise architecture, and the CIO organization to ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, and operational standards. * Lead planning phases of product development, including refinement of requirements, coordination with project management, and alignment of resources. * Communicate schedules, risks, progress, and issues to senior management, customers, and technical teams. * Guide technical execution teams during build and implementation, ensuring delivery aligns with approved plans. * Develop deployment planning and activities to support a smooth rollout. * Monitor product adoption and performance post-deployment, gather feedback, and drive enhancements or additional training as needed. * Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, DOE policies, and organizational governance processes. * Support vendor evaluation, selection, and management when external solutions or services are required

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 8 years of experience in IT product management, IT service delivery, or technical operations with significant customer interaction and stakeholder engagement. * Experience developing cost estimates, managing budgets, and performing make-versus-buy evaluations and basic financial risk analysis for multiple concurrent initiatives. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical teams, business partners, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and construction/integration groups to deliver quality solutions. * Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language. * Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, including planning, requirements gathering, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. * Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive alignment, and foster strong collaboration in a dynamic environment. * Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.

Compensation
