Duties

We are seeking a Business Enterprise Architect to support the HMIS Information Management Services organization and report to the Enterprise Architecture Manager. In this role, the selected candidate will help align business strategies with technology infrastructure, applications, and processes to ensure the enterprise architecture enables business objectives, improves operational efficiency, and supports innovation. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: *Collaborate with executive leadership and business units to ensure that the enterprise architecture aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and business priorities. *Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration on architectural initiatives. *Communicate architectural vision, strategies, and progress to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and other communication channels. *Provide mentorship and guidance to other IT professionals, business partners, project team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. *Participate in project teams, architecture review boards and governance boards to provide expert guidance, oversight and ensure compliance. *Perform Program Management functions such as developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, including reference architecture models, standards, and guidelines. *Continuously assess and improve the enterprise architecture to ensure it remains flexible, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. *Guide the integration of new technologies and solutions into the existing architecture, ensuring seamless compatibility and minimal disruption to business operations. *Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture roadmap(s) that support the organization's long-term vision and strategic initiatives. *Analyze and optimize business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance. Set, monitor, and facilitate performance of metrics including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators (PKIS, KRI's). *Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, share insights, and drive consensus on architectural decisions. *Identify and assess risks associated with architecture and technology decisions and develop mitigation strategies to address them. *Lead cross-functional teams in architecture-related projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives. *Encourage and facilitate innovation and creativity in the design and implementation of business processes and technology solutions.

Qualifications

*BA/BS in Management Information Systems (Business Administration), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent education and experience. *A minimum of 8 years' experience in enterprise architecture, system architecture, business process management, program management, Information Technology or a related discipline. *Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. *Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. SR. BUSINESS ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT: *BA/BS in Management Information Systems (Business Administration), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent education and experience. *10 years' experience in enterprise architecture design, system architecture, business process management, Information Technology, or a related discipline. *2 years' experience with cloud solutions and cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). *Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to influence outcomes and build strong cross-functional partnerships. *Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.

Compensation

Grade 18: $109,013 - $137,538 Grade 19: $119,813 - $151,038 Grade 20: $131,888 - $166,263 SR. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation. This investigation encompasses multiple areas of eligibility and includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year.
