Overview: Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a Co -Op Engineering to support Lab Pro jects in Richland, WA. This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA and operates , manages, and ma int ains the 222-S Lab o r atory Complex for the Department of Energy. Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Tec h n ologies and Lab o r atories Int e r n ational (Gaithersburg, MD). Essential Functions And Job Responsibilities: Responsible for applying classroom-based education to gain hands-on tec h n i c al experience within field of study. Performs a variety of tec h n i c al support activities in areas such as Engineering or Pro ject Engineering. Pro vides field support and assists in the completion of special pro jects. Con tr ibutes to the development of new ideas and con cepts. Ma int ains training and ensures work is completed in compliance with all applicable pro cedures. Has understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Assignments may be broad or narrowly focused requiring judgment and initiative. Under general supervision, works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where con siderable discretion is required in resolving pro blems and making recommendations. Applies knowledge of established policies, pro cedures, and practices in carrying out daily activities. May make detailed observations, analyze data, and int e r pret results. May make minor modification to established pro cedures to meet specific needs, following established pro cedures. Participates in con ducting studies and in supporting non-routine tec h n i c al activities in accordance with company standards and government regulations. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: A U.S. citizen. At least 18 years of age. An active full-time student during the two semesters/quarters immediately preceding the assignment. Ma int ain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment. Students at Washington State University, Tri-Cities (WSU-TC), Columbia Basin College (CBC), or any online students living local who are enrolled in a degree pro gram that relates to Navarro-ATL’s and Hanford’s cle a nup mission. Junior status and enrolled full-time, as determined by the institution. Willing and able to work 15 - 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am-5:00 pm.

Compensation

Compensation: Grade S&E Co-Op Jr: $27.70/hr The grade level offered to the selected candidate will be based on business needs and the candidate's education, training, and/or relevant experience.
