H2C is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the West Area Tank Farm Engineering team. The role provides operational engineering support, including direct push drilling and soil sampling support, Interim Surface Barrier maintenance support, maintenance and test equipment support, piping and instrumentation system modifications, troubleshooting, Engineering Change Notices, material requests, work package reviews, and procedure reviews. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required. Responsibilities * Provide technical and programmatic support for Production Operations Engineering, including coordination with internal and external organizations, cost/benefit evaluations, and development of task plans and schedules. * Perform engineering work requiring independent judgment and the adaptation of standard methods and procedures. * Serve as a group lead on project or departmental assignments as needed. * Obtain and maintain the H2C Engineering Technical Staff Qualification Card. Technical Duties * Deliver engineering calculations, analyses, studies, and recommendations within assigned project scope, schedule, and budget. * Apply broad knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and gain familiarity with related disciplines. Qualifications
Grade 14: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline. Grade 15: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline; 1 year of related experience - Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Grade 16: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline; 2 years of related experience. - Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.
Compensation
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
