Duties
We are seeking a Business Enterprise Architect (Software) to support the HMIS Information Management Services organization and report to the Enterprise Architecture Manager. In this role, the selected candidate will align business strategies with enterprise application architectures, technology platforms, and processes to ensure the architecture supports business objectives, enhances operational efficiency, and enables innovation. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: * Collaborate with executive leadership and business units to ensure enterprise application and software architectures align with strategic objectives and business priorities. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business units, software engineering teams, IT operations, and external partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration on architectural initiatives. * Communicate architectural vision, application strategies, and progress to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and other communication channels. * Provide mentorship and guidance to software engineers, solution architects, business partners, project team members, and stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. * Participate in project teams, architecture review boards, and governance boards to provide expert guidance, oversight, and ensure compliance with architectural standards, particularly those related to enterprise applications. * Perform Program Management functions such as developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of enterprise application architecture, including reference models, application standards, integration patterns, and guidelines. * Continuously assess and improve the application architecture landscape to ensure it remains flexible, scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. * Guide the integration of new software technologies, applications, and solutions into the existing architecture, ensuring seamless compatibility and minimal disruption to business operations. *Design and implement enterprise architecture frameworks and models that provide a holistic view of the organization's business processes, information systems, and technology infrastructure. *Create architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, interoperability, and scalability across the enterprise. *Identify opportunities for process automation and digital transformation to support business agility and innovation. *Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. *Establish and enforce governance processes to manage the architecture/solution lifecycle and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. *Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Product Managers, and Technical teams to ensure that security and privacy considerations are integrated into the architecture. * Serve as the system owner for large enterprise platforms, such as ServiceNow and other critical enterprise applications, overseeing system architecture, lifecycle management, governance, integrations, and alignment with organizational standards and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
*BA/BS in Management Information Systems (Business Administration), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent education and experience. *A minimum of 8 years' experience in enterprise architecture, system architecture, business process management, program management, Information Technology or a related discipline. *Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. *Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. SR. SOFTWARE ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT: *BA/BS in Management Information Systems (Business Administration), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent education and experience. *10 years' experience in enterprise architecture design, system architecture, business process management, Information Technology, or a related discipline. *2 years' experience with cloud solutions and cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). *Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to influence outcomes and build strong cross-functional partnerships. *Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. *Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
Compensation
Grade 18: $109,013 - $137,538 Grade 19: $119,813 - $151,038 Grade 20: $131,888 - $166,263 SR.
