Duties

This Co-Op Intern (year-round internship) supporting the HAMMER Industrial Safety Training, Operations and Logistics team. Responsibilities typically include but are not limited to preparing class documentation materials, providing logistical support, and ensuring training records are compliant with project and facility-specific requirements. This position performs the following essential job responsibilities: -- Compiles session packages for training (i.e., rosters, manuals, lesson plans, etc.). -- Resolve customer issues regarding scheduling training and provide technical support. -- Supports management/points of contact and trainers as needed for reports, requests etc. -- Administers systemized tracking mechanisms to ensure accurate data reconciliation. -- Works with the Instructional Design Team to review training course program files. -- Assess course material inventory and assist with ordering and tracking necessary materials -- Assist with processing training records

Qualifications

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in in related fields of business management, project management, instructional design, education or other related field. * Must have one college term completed at an accredited college or university, must be enrolled as a full-time student, and live within a commutable distance from the Richland work location. * Must have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or above. Must include GPA on resume/application submission. * Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. May be able to work up to 40 hours per week during breaks (ie: Summer). * Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. * Strong communication and grammar skills. * Intermediate computer skills and familiarization with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. * Basic knowledge and experience with databases. * Strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and as a team to complete tasks

Compensation

Hourly Rate: Freshman: $23.380 Sophomore: $26.050 Junior: $26.050 Senior: $30.739 In accordance with the HMIS wage determination process, offers will be made by taking into consideration the degree program the candidate is currently enrolled in - or - scope of work the position will perform, grade level in school (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior) as well as the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. The starting rates, and ranges listed (if applicable) represent the full wage scale that may be offered for this position. In accordance with the Service Contract Act, this position is eligible for the health & welfare wage adder of up to $5.09 per hour. In compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) direction, employees issued initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, are required to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation. This investigation encompasses multiple areas of eligibility and includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.
