Lube & Tireman

Duties
Perform lubrications, oil changes, fuel vehicles, clean vehicles, and conduct visual maintenance safety inspections while lubricating on trucks, buses, sedans, and other designated equipment. Change and repair tires on all Hanford mobile equipment including large construction equipment where feasible. Drive and road test all equipment and possess a Commercial Driver's License. Perform written documentation to support all assigned tasks. Receive, inventory, maintain and document fuel, lubricant, antifreeze, solvent, and other assigned inventories as directed by management. Transport materials with a forklift or assigned vehicle as required to support the Hanford fleet. Assist shop supervisor and Hazardous Waste Coordinators in handling, movement and clean-up of hazardous materials. Perform general shop clean up as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED - Must have five years of commercial industry experience in the maintenance of vehicles and/or equipment - Must have 1 year of hands-on experience in the tire industry - Minimum CDL Class B license

In compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) direction, employees issued initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, are required to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation. This investigation encompasses multiple areas of eligibility and includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.
